SIMPLE KIND TO SKIN FACIAL WIPES
LIZ EARLE CLEANSE AND POLISH HOT CLOTH CLEANSER
This Skin Cleanser was very popular among beauty bloggers back in 2010. Having tried it out for myself I now understand why. I use it after I have removed as much make-up as I can with the wipes. The solution is contained in a bottle with a little pump, ensuring that you don’t make a mess of yourself. The cleanser has a creamy light texture and a fresh smell. I believe not everyone is a fan of the smell but I find it very refreshing. I massage it into my face like a cream. I only need a very small amount of it to cover my whole face and it doesn’t irritate my skin in any way. The Hot Cloth Cleanser comes with two Muslin Cloths that you are instructed to rinse under hot water and then wash your face with. The clothes have a slight texture that exfoliates your skin while you are cleaning it. You should only use each cloth twice and then stick it in your washing machine. This is a bit of a pain and I will soon be purchasing a couple more muslin clothes to keep me going for a week. After you have wiped your face you are instructed to splash your face with cold water. I think a lot of people forget to do this. It is important since the difference in temperature closes your pores. After I have used the Cleanser my skin feels fresh as a daisy and very moisturised. You can visibly see the grime the cleanser has removed in the muslin cloth. Using the cleanser is the favourite part of my routine and I clean my face both in the morning and at night. The Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser currently retails at 15.50£.
NUSKIN AGELOC GENTLE CLEANSE AND TONE
My mum has been using the NuSkin Cleanser for a while now. She is convinced it has visibly reduced the size of her pores and the amount of blackheads on her nose. The solution has a very foamy texture and comes in a small hand-bag sized model. Due to its active ingredients, the product promises that you don’t need a toner. The whole skincare set is also formulated to reducing the signs of ageing by directly targeting your genes. Honestly, this cleanser makes my skin feel a bit tight. There is no burning sensation however and the cleanser does a good job of getting my skin clean. Personally, I don’t feel this cleanser is necessarily worth its price of 39.43£. Probably because in direct comparison I prefer the Hot Cloth Cleanser.
LIZ EARLE INSTANT BOOST SKIN TONIC
After I have cleaned my face, I pour some Skin Tonic on a cotton wool pad and gently dab my face. it has a lovely fresh smell that reminds me a bit of cucumbers and flowers, again it might not be to everybody ‘ s taste. The skin tonic helps to remove any last trace of make-up (there usually is none) and helps neutralise the pH of your skin before you moisturise. It just makes my skin feel really fresh and rejuvenated without irritating it. It takes a minute for the tonic to sink in and I generally wait before moisturising. The Tonic currently retails at 14.50£ and is included in the Skincare Essentials set. The current retail price of the skin tonic is 14.50£.
LIZ EARLE EYEBRIGHT SOOTHING EYE LOTION
The Eye Lotion was a bonus gift included in the skincare set. I would never have bought it on its own. Nonetheless, most nights I will squirt some of this on a cotton wool pad and wipe my eyes with it. You can also leave the cotton wool pads on your eyes for 5-10 minutes and lets the solution sink in as an alternative to cucumbers. To be honest I am not sure if it has yet made a difference to the puffiness and darkness below my eyes. It does, however, feel very soothing and is ideal for a little home spa. The eye lotion currently retails at 13.25£.
LIZ EARLE SKIN REPAIR MOISTURISER FOR DRY/SENSITIVE SKIN
This is a close runner up to my favourite product in the Liz Earle Skincare Set. I religiously moisturise my skin, even on days when I don’t wear make-up. The texture of the moisturiser is gorgeously creamy and yet very light. It is the best moisturiser I have ever owned. It sinks in fast and leaves my skin feeling really well nourished for the whole day. I really don’t need to use a lot of it to notice a difference. There is only one cream in this set, but I am absolutely satisfied and would happily use it day and night. The retail price is 20.25£
NUSKIN AGELOC RADIANT DAY SPF 22
In contrast with the Liz Earle Skincare set, the NusSkin Ageloc Elements Set contains both a day and a night cream. The texture of the day cream is very light and moist and sinks in fast. I prefer the smell of this moisturiser. The cream also protects your skin from the sun which is a huge bonus and an advantage in comparison to the Liz Earle moisture. I do however need to use more of it in order to get the same amount of coverage. This day cream retails at 54.29£.
